You can nearly see his mind racing in that moment, eyes darting slightly, ears doing more of those thoughtful twitches.

"No, no. I don't know a thing about time. My realm is the elements. To hazard this would be foolishness." He sounds more like he's trying to convince himself of that notion than actually stating it, though.
